First and foremost, it is important that all our tamariki can return to school safely, however, we are aware that many of our whanau and tamariki are anxious about returning to school next week.
The wellbeing of our tamariki is very important. We have been working with the Ministry of Education on the safest way for our tamariki to return to school and will be finalizing plans and informing everyone before the end of the week.
Our Communications Team are in the process of contacting all whanau to check on their wellbeing. This will help us to ensure that we are ready for when our tamariki return. If you do not hear from us by the end of the day tomorrow, please email us on info@tamaki.ac.nz or call 0800 182 625(Free phone) and leave a message.
Please be assured that Public Health officials have advised that schools are safe to be open at Alert Level 2 and so we will be working hard to ensure that our tamariki will be safe when they return.
Finally, please enjoy this awesome video ‘Moist Breath Zone: NZ guidelines for children going back to school after Covid-19 quarantine’ by Lake Brunner School Principal, Shirley Serban. Its a perfect way to help us all understand the expectations when returning to school in Level 2. Ka mau te wehi, fantastic work, Shirley!
Remember we are still in Alert Level 3!! Be Kind, Stay Safe, Stay Home and Save Lives!!
