The annual Careers Expo held at the ASB Showgrounds Greenlane is done for this year.  The expo is one of the major events for career planning and decision making. Students need to start gathering information and become aware of the available opportunities. This will enable students to make informed choices at subject selection time and post transition.

Liaison advisers from the Universities, Polytechnics and Institutes of Technology including The University of Auckland, Otago University, the Armed Forces, Police, Wanaaga and Private Training providers were on show.

The Careers Expo offers one of the few opportunities for students and teachers to talk to Liaison Staff from a variety of different institutions and to compare the courses available and the costs and benefits of studying at each.

Tamaki College took two buses taking all Year 12 and Year 13 students to the Careers Expo on Thursday 24th May.

This was a wonderful experience for our seniors who had one on one interactions with facilitators, got some hands on experience with specific industries and in one case, met Professional Sports personalities.

A huge thank you to the Careers Department for organising such a tight ship!
